These terms cover using RenNo Reads — the mobile app and the website at rennoreads.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use RenNo Reads.
RenNo Reads is operated by RenNo Strategies LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("we", "us", "RenNo Reads"). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information — it's incorporated into these terms by reference.
Who can use RenNo Reads
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you give us is accurate.
Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for anything that happens under your account.
- One account per person. Don't create an account for someone else, or on behalf of a business, without their permission.
- Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
Content you post
RenNo Reads lets you post reviews, ratings, and replies to other people's reviews. You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it, you give us a license to store, display, and distribute it within the app and its features (for example, showing your review to other users, or including it in a summary of community ratings) — nothing more.
You agree not to post content that:
- Is illegal, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or abusive toward another person;
- Is spam, or unrelated advertising;
- Impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation with someone;
- Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- Contains malicious code or attempts to interfere with the app's normal operation.
Reviews and replies are meant to be about books — genuine reactions, ratings, and discussion. They're not the place for harassment or personal attacks on other users.
Reporting, blocking, and enforcement
If you see content or behavior that violates these terms, you can report it directly from the app (each reply has a Report option), or contact us at hello@rennoreads.com. You can also block another user at any time from their profile or from one of their replies — a blocked person can no longer reply to your reviews or send you a friend request, and any existing friendship between you is removed. You can review and undo your blocks at any time in the app under Profile → Blocked.
We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice, especially in cases of harassment, abuse, or repeated violations.
The book catalogue
Book information, cover art, and adaptation/release data shown in the app come from public sources (including Open Library and Wikidata) and, for some upcoming releases, from our own research. We try to keep this accurate but don't guarantee it — publication dates, especially for books that haven't released yet, can change without our control.
Links to retailers
Book pages link out to third-party retailers (Kindle, Bookshop.org, Libro.fm, Audible, Spotify, and similar). Some of these are affiliate links, described in our Privacy Policy. We aren't responsible for the content, policies, pricing, or availability on those third-party sites.
Intellectual property
The RenNo Reads name, logo, and app design belong to RenNo Strategies LLC. Book covers, titles, and related metadata belong to their respective publishers, authors, and rights holders, and are used here for identification and discovery purposes.
Disclaimers
RenNo Reads is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular book, release date, or recommendation will be accurate. Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of the people who posted them, not RenNo Reads.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, RenNo Strategies LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of RenNo Reads. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months, if any.
Ending your use
You can stop using RenNo Reads and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Either way, our Privacy Policy describes what happens to your data.
Changes to these terms
If we make significant changes to these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use RenNo Reads after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
